Exchanged ideas at the innovercity festival in the aufhof (from left): Christian Lehmann (HsH - Hannover University of Applied Sciences), Martin Grotjahn (Vice President of HsH), Josef von Helden (HsH President), Dietmar Kracht (Executive Board of LZH), Uwe Morgner (LZH Executive Board and PhoenixD spokesperson), Falko Mohrs (Lower Saxony Minister of Science), Michael Kues (LZH Scientific Directorate and PhoenixD) and Michèle Heurs (PhoenixD and QuantumFrontiers).

Creativity met technology. During the three-day festival in the experimental space "aufhof" in the pedestrian zone of Hanover, Hanover's universities and research institutions showed their work and how valuable knowledge and science are.

The Laser Zentrum Hannover e. V. (LZH) presented at the innovercity festival on 22 June in the aufhof. At the discussion round "Innovations from Lower Saxony: Light, Quantum and Gravitation", the three PhoenixD members, Prof. Dr. Uwe Morgner, Prof. Dr. Michael Kues and Prof. Dr. Michèle Heurs, gave talks on their research areas in laser and quantum technology and gravitational wave detection. Dr Dietmar Kracht, LZH board member and PhoenixD member, moderated the lecture series.

PhoenixD speaker Uwe Morgner is also an LZH Board of Directors member and chairs the LZH Scientific Directorate. Kues is also a member of the Scientific Directorate. In addition, Prof. Dr. Christian Lehmann from the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts reported on his experiences in transferring high-tech research from the university to the industry.

In the second LZH discussion round on the topic of "Light for Innovation - Women in Innovation", the three LZH scientists, Dr. Merve Wollweber, Verena Wippo and Katharina Rettschlag (PhoenixD member) provided insights into their current research topics. Lena Bennefeld, a member of the LZH board, moderated this round.

Afterwards, Science Minister Falko Mohrs sat on the podium for a short interview before learning about research on optical technologies in agriculture at the LZH exhibits from Morgner and the LZH team.
