Every year PhoenixD supports teenagers who complete a so-called Voluntary Academic Year (German: FWJ) between school and university or training. The young people get to live a day-to-day life at an institute, work on their own projects and exchange information in regular seminars.

In the coming year September 2022 to August 2023, these 8 institutions involved in PhoenixD will offer FWJ places:

  • Protoys - PhoenixD's project workshop for pupils
  • Institute for Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry (PCI)
  • Institute for Information Processing (TNT)
  • Hanover Centre for Optical Technologies (HOT)
  • Institute for Continuum Mechanics (IKM)
  • Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH)
  • Institute for Forming Technology and Forming Machines (IFUM)
  • Institute for Product Development and Device Construction (IPeG)
