Quantizing Nanolaminates and Suboxides of Germanium

Abstract

Using a new coating procedure in the IBS process, hybrid quantizing nanolaminates based on Ge and TiO2 were prepared. A refractive index of over 3.4 was measured for 1550 nm and the band gap was shifted to a wavelength of 1377 nm.
