Contents of the PRS4PhD
The PRS4PhD gives doctoral students from the natural sciences and engineering disciplines involved in PhoenixD the opportunity to further their professional and interdisciplinary education. In addition to monthly colloquia, in which guests from Germany and abroad report on the current state of research in their field, there is a monthly seminar, which serves both the exchange of expertise and the practice of presenting their own research to an interdisciplinary audience.
In addition, PRS4PhD includes lectures that bring doctoral students to a common level of knowledge, excursions to participating institutes and industry, and courses in key competencies.
Doctoral students receive points for all these offers. Publications and stays abroad are not only financially supported, but also rewarded with points and after successful completion of the doctorate a certificate awaits the researchers. Further advantages of a doctorate in the cluster are participation in an annual summer school and integration into the research community from the very beginning by a second supervisor from the cluster.
The graduate school, which started in May 2019 with around 30 doctoral students, is oriented internationally and aims to network with research institutions around the world.
You want to participate in the PRS4PhD? Please send an email with your request to prs@phoenixd.uni-hannover.de. You will receive further information and the necessary registration form.
