The Cluster of Excellence PhoenixD - Photonics Optics Engineering Innovation Across Disciplines - of Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) attaches great importance to the security of your data. Therefore we would like to inform you here about data protection concerning participation in our events and at the same time assure you of compliance with all relevant legal provisions, in particular, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). Purpose of data processing

Your data will be processed to organise and carry out the International Workshop on Physical Computing from  29 October to 6 November 2022.

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the data processing of the mandatory data in the registration form is Art. 6 Para. 1 b) DSGVO. Besides, further optional data may be entered voluntarily in the registration form. The legal basis for the data processing of the optional data is the consent under Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. a) DSGVO.

Obligation to provide information

You are not obliged to provide such information, but participation in the event is only possible if you provide us with the required data, which is referred to as mandatory information. The communication of further optional data is not necessary and is voluntary.

Revocability of consent

You may revoke your consent to the processing of the further optional data submitted and the inclusion of your data in the list of participants under Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. a) DSGVO at any time with effect for the future. In this case, we will no longer process this data and delete it. The legality of the data processing until revocation is not affected by this. The revocation is possible informally via the contact as mentioned above.

Storage period

We process your data for as long as is necessary for the planning and concluding execution of the event or due to applicable legal provisions such as the obligation to retain invoice documents. Should you wish your data to be deleted, we will delete your data immediately, unless there are legal obligations to retain it.

Right to object

You also have the right to object to data processing at any time. We will then no longer process your data unless there are compelling reasons worthy of protection for the processing or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data is in breach of the law.
